The inflation has gripped the consumer market, as the prices of daily use products like food items, footwear, film tickets, and medicines have witnessed a sharp rise in October, recording retail inflation to 10.09%.

Prices of onions and tomatoes have gone into double digits for the first time in seven months, as Indian consumers are paying the highest price in recent times, observed Consumer Voice, an NGO working for consumer awareness.
