Urban India is facing a serious crunch of water resource. Water regulatory bodies are facing tough time in meeting minimum requirements of every household.

Do you think a need for an effective water management policy is indispensable ?

Yes the govt. and the concern authority should take an effective measures to deal with the discrepancies in the water regulation authority.

There is a dire need of effective policy.

Of course!That's an easy question!
At the Center and state level they keep finding ways for not agreeing on any specific idea of sharing. Look at the Kaveri dispute or Mullaiperiyar dam issue. At another level every year so much water from the monsoon is let out into the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian sea. And then how about replicating the concept of Relegaon Siddhi in other draught prone areas?

Thats an easy question!
Firstly let the center and the states agree on how to tackle the situation: sharing etc. Example: Kaveri waters, Mullaiperiyar dam. At another level make sure no monsoon water is let out into the oceans. And how about replicating the success story of the once arid village of Relegaon Siddhi?
